POLICIES

As a tattoo shop, we believe in creating unique and meaningful designs that you will cherish for a lifetime. For customs we require you to send in any reference material and ideas to help our artists create something original just for you. While we welcome your own designs, please be open to the possibility of adjustments to ensure the best possible outcome. Our artists may also suggest modifications to fit your budget, body, and create a truly special piece of artwork. You are required to read this whole page before booking.

We would appreciate it if you could arrive on time for your appointment at our studio, rather than being early. Once you arrive, please send a message directly to the artist so that they can escort you to the studio. Thank you for your cooperation.

DEPOSITS

Looking to get a unique tattoo design? Our talented tattoo artists are here to help! To secure your spot on our appointment calendar, have your artist draw up your design or claim a flash piece, we require a minimum deposit of $100. Please note that this deposit is non-refundable, valid for only up to 6 months after booking and will be held until completion. All drawings remain the property of the shop. Book your appointment today! 

When booking an appointment with our artists, please be as descriptive as possible to ensure your design is brought to life. As a courtesy, we generally send out artwork the night before the appointment, and minor changes are allowed. However, significant changes may result in a redraw fee or deposit forfeit due to time constraints.

MISSED/LATE APPOINTMENTS

We do our best to message and remind you of your appointment as a courtesy, but remembering your appointment is your responsibility. Please note that we require 72 hours notice to cancel/ reschedule your appointment. Be courteous – our artists have already invested many hours on your behalf. NO SHOWS and short notice cancellations will forfeit your deposit.

If you happen to be running late for your tattoo appointment, we offer a 20-minute grace period. However, if you surpass this time limit, we will have to reschedule your appointment. Please note that your deposit will be forfeited. Our artists require sufficient time to complete your tattoo before their next appointment. Thank you for your understanding.

RATES

We offer free consultations for up to 30 minutes and your drawing and design services are provided at no cost. However, it's important to note that our pricing model is based on a per-person basis, with a minimum charge of $100-$200 depending on the artist and design. We do not offer hourly rates only flat rates. This method of utilizing flat rate full prices can be beneficial in reducing misunderstandings and ensuring that both the client and artist are on the same page.

GENERAL RULES

It's important to note that clients must be 18 years or older to a tattoo, and underage clients require written parental consent, a parent present throughout the process, and the discretion of the tattoo artist. It's also important to eat something before getting a tattoo and to arrive clean, as the artist will be touching you. Additionally, clients must be sober to get a tattoo, with no exceptions. If any of these rules are not met it will result in immediate cancellation and loss of deposit.

NUMBING CREAM

At our tattoo shop, we prioritize your safety and well-being's . This is why we don't use numbing cream during the tattooing process, as it poses several risks. However, our artists can use Bactine upon request, which can help numb broken skin. Please note that it can only be used once the stencil is no longer needed. If you have lidocaine allergy, please inform our artists beforehand, as this won't be an option for you.

A NOTE ON HANDS, FEET AND NECKS

It's crucial to educate clients about the potential hazards of getting a tattoo on specific body parts. The healing process may be less reliable on areas that are frequently in motion or have delicate skin such as hands, feet and necks. It's reasonable for tattoo artists to decline working on such areas. It's essential to ensure that clients comprehend that the artist cannot be held accountable for any complications that may occur during the healing process. A free touch up is not eligible for these locations.

TOUCH-UPS

We offer Free touch-ups within 30-60 days of getting your tattoo if any lines fade or come out during the healing process. These appointments are quick and easy, taking 15-20 minutes. However, note that touch-ups are not a fix for poor practices during the healing phase or fading due to lifestyle factors. Proper aftercare is key to keeping your tattoo in excellent condition. Be sure to read the aftercare instructions provided and do not hesitate to reach out if you have questions. The tattoo can be damaged throughout the healing process by drinking alcohol, picking, swimming, sun tanning or fading due to lifestyle such as heavy duty work, excessive exposure to the elements and potential contaminants. It is also not an on-going service to keep your tattoo looking “fresh”.

PAYMENT OPTIONS

Thank you for choosing Blame Tattoo Shop for your tattoo needs. Please note that we only accept cash for the remainder of the payment at the time of the appointment. Deposits are collected via e-transfer to the individual artists. If your tattoo is complete, your deposit will come off the final price. It's common practice to tip your artist if you're happy with your tattoo, and we welcome whatever you're comfortable with. Keep in mind that custom designs and drawings are commonly done after hours, unpaid, and at home. Thank you for your understanding.
